Dog Day in the Park 2009
“Dog Day in the Park” was sponsored by the Grand Rapids Kennel Club. It was held on Saturday, May 30th from 9:30-3p at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids Michigan. The sky threatened to rain on us several times, but it never did more than sprinkle. The turn out was great. Boy, there were allot of dogs and there people. Dogs, dogs and more
dogs… all shapes and sizes. We took 800 pictures at this event. We ended up with about 250 on our website. Go on over and check them all out. www.SheTookMyPicture.com
Dog people sure are nice people. We chatted with lots of great people. People love to show off there dogs, nobody shyed away from us and many posed for shots. CJ spent some time taking pictures over at the agility area.
The trained dogs were so cool to watch go through the course, fast and accurate. It was so funny to watch the first timers try. Some of them got it, some of them had no clue and still some fought it. I think all the dogs had fun with it whether they got it or not.
We ran into some friends from The “Rays of Hope for Haiti” organization. They had two puppies looking from homes that had been rescued from Haiti. They were so cute and had been through so much in there short little lives. They do good work for the suffering people of Haiti and a
few stray dogs along the way.
The Annual Dog Day at the Park Event was a fun time for all… adults kids and dogs alike. There were some great vendors and competitions. We will definetely be back to take pictures next year. Kelli was there last year and you can also find those pictures on our website too. www.SheTookMyPicture.com
