This is a great first Tri. A beach start, an out-and-back bike course on gently rolling hills and a quick lap around the lake. This quick route takes you on a .4 mile swim, 14 mile bike and 3 mile run around Bostwick Lake.
Race time was 8 am on July 4th. Weatherman had predicted sunny and 70’s on race day, it ended up being cloudy and 60’s. Even sprinkled a few times. Actually pretty good weather for the race.
First Place in the women’s division was # 75 Tarra Miedema with a time of 1:10:50. First place in men’s division was #95 David Daprato with a time of 1:05:39.
We had a few relatives participating as well. Our sister Ashley placed 9th in the women’s division with a time of 1:23:11. Brother in-law Andy finished 7th in men’s division with a time of 1:10:46, Ian came in 21st with a time of 1:16:24 and Dad came in last in the men’s division with a time 
of 2:08:54. Dad is 62 1/2 years old. This was the first time he had attempted anything like this and we are all so proud of him for finishing. Congratulation
